“Listen, are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?”

— Mary Oliver

My name is Alyssa Finley, LPC and I’m a psychotherapist in Austin, TX. I’m South Texas raised, by way of the Midwest, and former Seattle transplant. I earned my Bachelors in literature from The University of Texas at San Antonio, after which I moved to the Pacific Northwest. I graduated with my Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology- a small, relational, psychodynamic training in downtown Seattle.

This work is the work of lifelong learners. I am committed to engaging my own therapeutic work and humanness so that I am consistently equipped to sit with you in yours. I also come from a place of complete inclusivity, and offer a space for you to come into who you fully are with no judgment or restrictions. That being said, I believe that you are the expert on you and my role is that of a guide as you engage your journey of self-exploration. It is a privilege to be invited into the emotional world of my patients and I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to do this good work.
